Workshop Description:

This is an advanced workshop for Hansoft users. The learning format is a hands-on workshop where the attendees will be working directly in the Hansoft project manager tool as we work through a combination of instructor led sessions and student exercises. Attendees should be familiar with Scrum / Agile development methodology and be working with the Hansoft Project Management tool.

We will start with a quick review of agile principles and look at how Hansoft supports these methodologies. Students will start with installing the application and connecting to the project server. Familiarity with Hansoft is assumed; we will start with working with some pre-configured sample projects.

Who should attend:

Anyone who will be using Hansoft on a daily basis will benefit from this education. Completion of the Hansoft Bootcamp is not required, but familiarity with the material covered in that course will be assumed. It will be of particular benefit to those who are involved in leading teams and planning work or those responsible for installing and maintaining Hansoft servers and related tools:

By the end of the two days, students will have successfully performed the following:

  • Install and log in to Hansoft
  • Manage users in multiple site / multiple server scenarios
  • Create and restore database backups
  • Create and share custom reports
  • Create and utilize custom fields in Hansoft
  • Create and utilize advanced pipelines and workflows
  • Perform data export / import
  • Utilize Kanban boards for production tracking
  • Connect Hansoft to a Perforce Server
  • Gain an understanding of the Hansoft SDK
  • Gain an understanding of Hansoft best practices for scaling to large projects and organization.

Attendees are required to bring their own notebook PC with wifi networking for the workshop. Sharing is permitted, but it is preferable for each student to have their own computer to work on. All required software, sample data, etc will be supplied. No pre-configuration is necessary.
